Royal Poinciana

Delonix regia is a flowering ornamental tree with fern-like lacy, feathery, leaves, known for its spectacular display of orange-red flowers. It is endemic to Madagascar but can be found in tropical regions worldwide and will maintain an average height of about 15 ft, and in some rare cases a maximum of 40 ft. These will surround the shrine to Ganesha at the start of the spiritual path - the red flowers symbolizing the first chakra or center of consciousness.
