Pink Torch Ginger

Etlingera elatior, also known as the pink torch ginger, is a tropical plant species native to Southeast Asia. It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family and is related to ginger and turmeric. The plant produces large, showy flowers on tall stems that can reach up to 10 feet in height. The flowers are pink and shaped like torches, giving the plant its common name. The leaves are long and green, growing up to 2 feet in length. It is often used for ornamental purposes in landscaping and as a cut flower.
