Petticoat Palm

Copernicia macroglossa is a sun-loving palm endemic to Cuba and quite unique. It is extremely drought-tolerant and loves the blazing heat. It can reach up to 30 ft in height and displays upright fan-shaped leaves in a spiral formation at the top, with a skirt or petticoat-like appearance. It attracts multiple species of bats and birds that help disperse its seeds.
