Date Palm

Phoenix dactylifera is an evergreen palm tree native to North Africa and the Middle East, cultivated for its edible sweet fruit that can reach up to 75 ft, and show a crown of over 100 feather-like fronds that can grow up to 16 ft in length. The species is widely cultivated and is naturalized in many tropical and subtropical regions worldwide.
